1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how ALOS, operated by Ayekah & Co. Inc. (1817 Rue de Villiers, Montréal, Québec, H4E 1K9, Canada), uses cookies and similar technologies on alos.education and in the ALOS platform. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They are commonly used to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, or measure how a site is used. Cookies can be "strictly necessary" (the site cannot function without them) or "non-essential" (used for things like analytics or advertising).
3. Our approach: strictly necessary only
ALOS uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party marketing or analytics cookies, or cross-site tracking of any kind. We made this choice deliberately: ALOS is a platform for children's education, and we keep our use of cookies to the minimum required to make the Service work and keep your account secure.

The Clerk and Cloudflare cookies are sent over HTTPS only (Secure); the Clerk cookies use SameSite=Lax, and the __client, __refresh_… and Cloudflare cookies are HttpOnly (not readable by page scripts). Some Clerk cookies are set on the authentication subdomain (clerk.app.alos.education) and appear even on a signed-out visit to alos.education. NEXT_LOCALE stores only a language code (en or fr). This inventory was read from a production browser session on September 22, 2026.
While you accept an invitation, ALOS also keeps the invitation reference in your browser's session storage — a similar technology, strictly necessary, cleared when the tab closes.
The payment page is operated by Polar on its own domain and sets its own cookies under Polar's cookie policy.
5. What we do not use
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No third-party analytics or measurement cookies.
- No cross-site or cross-device tracking.
- No social-media tracking pixels.
6. Consent
Because ALOS uses only strictly necessary cookies, no cookie-consent banner is required, and there are no optional cookies for you to accept or decline. If we ever introduce a non-essential cookie or similar technology in the future, we will update this policy and obtain your consent where the law requires it before using it.
7. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that the cookies we use are strictly necessary — if you block or delete them, you may not be able to sign in or use the Service.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy. If we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
